Kowloon Park offers a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Nathan Road. Once it was the site of the Whitfield Barracks, home to British and Indian troops. Today, its a somewhat artificial creation, at least by standards of most city parks. Even so, there is much to be enjoyed here including a sculpture walk, a Chinese garden, an aviary of rare birds, a sports hall and a swimming pool.
To get to Kowloon Park, catch the MTR to TST and exit at the Kowloon Park exit. The park is a short walk on the left off Nathan Road as you exit the station.
