Hiking in Hong Kong is great fun. This was the first hike I did Xmas 2007 with Roz`s Hiking Group. A link is on the right hand side. They are a very friendly and likeable group who get together for hikes each week. As this was my first Xmas hike in 2007 it was quite demanding, but I got there in the end.
At 934 metres, Lantau Peak is the second highest mountain in Hong Kong. It is situated on Lantau Island. The mountain is actually made up of a pair of peaks, one is known as "Fung Shan" (male phoenix mountain) and the other is "Wong Shan" (female phoenix mountain), together they form "Fung Wong Shan".
If you are interested in this hike, contact the hiking group. Or if you wish to do it alone, head for the Wisdom Path on Lantau (10mins from the Big Buddha) and follow the signs.
