Sha Tin Racecourse is the biggest of Hong Kong`s two racecourses. The course was built in 1978 and hosts over 470 races per year. It has a capacity of 85,000, with 23 stables for around 1,260 horses.
The day racing doesn`t quite have the atmosphere of the night racing at Happy Valley, but its still a fun afternoon out. Especially if you get some winners. Once you go to the horse racing in Hong Kong you`ll get addicted, so be warned.
To reach the track, take the KCR. On race days, the train diverts to the 'Racecourse' station. The track is a 10min walk.
